The Governor states that owing to the

recent increase in postal business he proposes to

extend the hours during which the G. P. O. is open

to the public and engage additional staff at an

annual cost of $45,224. This is not a matter in

which we can judge of the factors involved. The

cost is not great and will I presume be balanced

to some extent by increased receipts.
